Education and experience

• 1982 – 87 academic studies of Physics in Bonn, Toulouse and Grenoble
• PhD in Experimental Semiconductor Physics at the European High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Grenoble, France
• Since 1987 active in international cooperation and in EU funded collaboration projects
• Since 1992 active in the field of renewable energies
• Voluntary engagement for sustainable district development, inter alia initiation, realisation and company management of PV-community joint venture enterprises
• Former member of the supervisory board of the housing cooperative WOGENO e.G.
• Award as Deutscher Energiesparmeister 2006 (German energy saving-champion within a German-wide climate protection competition) for the complete transition of private energy supply to renewable energies
• Deutscher Solarpreis 2006 (German Solar Award) together with M. Tischer, L. Karg and M. Lurz for the B.A.U.M. manual “Auf dem Weg zur 100% Region” (On the Way towards a 100% Region)

• Coaching and lecturing on renewable energies
• Strategic consulting of decision makers in the area of renewable energies
• Coordination of EU- funded projects
• Consulting on EU funding acquisition, preparation of EU funding applications and execution of negotiation of grant agreements
