2ndVegOil – Decentrally produced vegetable oil fuels for modern agricultural machinery
Tractors with emission level 3A can easily operate in a climate-friendly manner with decentrally produced and purified vegetable oil. A wide range of different oils can be used as fuel. The principle feasibility of emission levels 3B and 4 has been proven. read more
ALPGRIDS: Increasing Renewable Energy Sources (RES) uptake through Microgrids in the Alps
In the European Union funded project ALPGRIDS a consortium of 12 partners, among them B.A.U.M. Consult, develop an Alpine microgrid model to foster low-carbon energy communities. The transnational approach aims to create an enabling institutional, socio-cultural and economic environment to successfully take off microgrids in the Alpine Space and beyond. read more
AlpStore – energy storage for the Alpine Space
Under the coordination of B.A.U.M. Munich, the EU funding project AlpStore examined the usage of mobile and stationary energy storage technologies. read more
B.A.U.M. coordinates the support project for the European initiative ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus
On behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology, B.A.U.M. coordinates the support project of the initiative ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus. The support project is in charge of supporting and evaluating the projects as well as of building up a Smart Grid Knowledge Community. read more
B.A.U.M. partner in Forschungscampus FEN - Flexible Electrical Networks
B.A.U.M. is one of the partners of the Forschungscampus FEN which is funded by the BMBF. The association of institutes of the RWTH Aachen University and of industrial partners investigates and develops the automation of the power grid and DC grid applications for a future grid with a high share of fluctuating and decentralized renewable energy sources. read more
Ancillary research of the funding programme “ICT for electric mobility”
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, B.A.U.M. coordinated the ancillary research of the funding programme “ICT for electric mobility”. In the framework of this programme, seven pilot projects examined technologies and services for the integration of electric mobility in energy and transport networks. read more
Consulting for the implementation of the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EDL-G)
B.A.U.M. supported numerous companies of different industries and sizes in the decision-making process to meet the requirements. The team of consultants conducted more than 100 energy audits, accompanied the introduction of energy management systems and advised internationally operating customers on the implementation of the country-specific requirements of the European Energy Efficiency Directive. read more

CO2NeuTrAlp - sustainable mobility for the Alpine Space
15 partners from five countries of the Alpine Space carried out 13 pilot projects testing and demonstrating how mobility could enter the solar age. B.A.U.M. coordinated the EU project CO2NeuTrAlp. read more
DECIDE - Developing Energy Communities through Informative and Collective Actions
Through their collective action, energy communities are transforming the European energy system. DECIDE aims to be a gamechanger supporting consumers and prosumers to accelerate their impact in the energy market. B.A.U.M. coordinates the pilot projects, accompanies their further development, stakeholder involvement and knowledge transfer. read more
E-Energy – Smart Grids made in Germany
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, B.A.U.M. coordinated the consortium in charge of the ancillary research, evaluation and communication of the technology programme "E-Energy - Smart Energy made in Germany". The programme aims at developing information and communication technology (ICT) for the German energy transition. read more
e-MOTICON – Electric vehicle charging infrastructure for the Alpine Space
From Munich to Padua by electric vehicle – in the EU funded project e-MOTICON, 15 partners from the Alpine Space are working on a transnational strategy for a consistent and interoperable development of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. read more
ECOEMPOWER - ECOsystems EMPOWERing at regional and local scale supporting energy communities
The coordination and support project is dedicated to supporting regional authorities in their role as facilitators of energy communities by establishing One Stop Shops (OSS). read more
Econnect – Smart Farm(cility): electric mobility in agriculture
On behalf of John Deere, B.A.U.M. prepared several studies for the project Smart Farm(cility) within the framework of the funding programme „econnect Germany“. These studies contributed to the development of a mild hybrid tractor with an easily exchangeable Li-Ion battery. Furthermore, B.A.U.M. supported public relations work of the project. read more
edgeFLEX - Managing Future Grids with the Virtual Power Plants Concept
The EU research project edgeFLEX aims at further develop the concept of "virtual power plants" to manage a wider range of generation and storage assets. B.A.U.M. accompanies the development and fosters the project communication and dissemination of the research results. read more
ELSA – Energy Local Storage Advanced system
In cooperation with ten other industrial and research partners from five European countries, B.A.U.M. Consult developed and tested within the EU project ELSA local energy storage systems based on second-life electric vehicle batteries. read more
ENERCOM – from sewage sludge to bioenergy
In the project ENERCOM, an international consortium studied energy recovery from sewage sludge and greenery waste. As part of the consortium B.A.U.M. was in charge of the communication and dissemination of the project progress and results. The ENERCOM project was funded by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration. read more
ERA-Net - Harmonization of national Smart Grid strategies in Europe
On behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT), B.A.U.M. designed and accompanied the technical exchange of national Smart Grid technology platforms and industry representatives in Europe for the design of the ERA-Net Plus Smart Grid activities in the EU research framework program Horizon 2020. read more
ESINERGY: An Interreg Danube Project
ESINERGY addresses a crucial challenge in modern energy systems: managing the imbalance between power generation and load, crucial for rising electrification and renewable energy production. The project introduces pilot approaches to reduce peak loads in electrical networks, promoting self-consumption by producers (e.g., via heat pumps, energy storage, charging stations, energy communities) to balance generation and demand. Subsequently, it enhances policy planning for peak loads through a transnational strategy, facilitating replication in other regions. read more
FINESCE - Future INtErnet Smart Utility ServiCEs
As one of the consortium partners of the EU research project Future INtErnet Smart Utility ServiCEs (FINESCE), B.A.U.M. was in charge of public relations work, knowledge transfer and establishment of networks between the energy and IT sector driving forward internet based solutions for a more efficient energy supply. read more
Advanced training "Company Mobility Manager CCI"
B.A.U.M. has developed and tested a further training course for company mobility managers in cooperation with the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany. The training is based on the VDI guideline 5110, which defines qualification characteristics for company mobility managers. read more
GridCON – Development, construction and testing of a guided agricultural machine with smart grid infrastructure
John Deere, the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and B.A.U.M. worked on the GridCON project to develop grid-connected tractors and their integration into electric networks. read more
IMEAS facilitated energy planning in Alpine Space municipalities
B.A.U.M. Consult GmbH developed tools and guidelines to standardise municipal energy planning as part of the Interreg Alpine Space Programme of the European Commission, under the team lead of ENEA, Italy. The IMEAS project integrated energy planning across all relevant silos and levels and identified gaps in European energy governance. read more
Alpine Energy Meetings on Advanced Technology
Coordinated by B.A.U.M., the consortium of the EU funding project AlpEnMat developed the standardised event format JAM BITE. At the same time, JAM BITE serves as a networking platform, which connects SMEs offering innovative and sustainable technologies and services for the Alpine Space with investors and clients. read more

The coordination and support project is dedicated to a central aspect for the success of the energy transition - interoperability. With this project, B.A.U.M. is further expanding its international activities. read more
Concept of the international congress Lifeworld Electromobility
On behalf of mannheim congress gmbh, B.A.U.M. designed the technical program for the international event "Lifeworld Electromobility - Congress for Vehicle, Energy, Mobility and Information and Communication Technologies" to mark the 125th anniversary of the automobile. read more
Master plan electric mobility for the city of Mönchengladbach
Together with the project consortium consisting of Ecolibro GmbH, EMCEL GmbH, Siemens AG, Mobility Intelligent Traffic Systems, Planungsbüro Richter-Richard and IVU Umwelt GmbH, B.A.U.M. Consult has developed an electric mobility concept for the city of Mönchengladbach. read more

B.A.U.M. Consult is part of the overall 12 partners from different Alpine Space countries of the MELINDA project, who jointly will implement a new model to boost low carbon mobility behaviors in the Alpine Space region. read more

Sustainability Report for the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro
On behalf of the German Society for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ) B.A.U.M. supports the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro becoming a sustainable campus. The main focus is the preparation of a sustainability report in accordance to the standards of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). read more
OptNetzE - Optimize communication between electricity network operators
In the project OptNetzE, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy within the framework of the funding initiative "Zukunftsfähige Stromnetze", B.A.U.M. conducted research on coordination processes between the network level operators, which are required for the procurement of flexibilities and their network and system-related use. read more
Platone - PLATform for Operation of distribution NEtworks
Platone aims at defining new approaches to increase the observability of renewable energy resources while exploiting their flexibility. Platone puts the grid users at the centre. B.A.U.M. supports customer integration at the Platone demo sites and fosters the project communication and dissemination. read more
PolyEnergyNet: Resilient poly-networks for security of supply for the grids in Saarlouis
In the research project PolyEnergyNet B.A.U.M. and nine other scientific and industrial partners develop a model for decentralised control intelligence of energy networks. The project receives funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy within the framework of the research initiative “Future-proof Power Grids”. read more
PraxTrak - Climate protection with vegetable oil fuel as by-product of animal feed production
In PraxTrak, John Deere, the Technology and Support Center (TFZ), the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, the company regineering and B.A.U.M. brought vegetable oil tractors to practical maturity. PraxTrak was funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) based on a resolution of the German "Bundestag". read more

B.A.U.M. supported and moderated the development process of the regional brand “Soonahe” and prepared a marketing concept in close cooperation with actors in the area of regional development, agriculture, viniculture, gastronomy, tourism, trade, energy and politics. read more
Regional marketing and marketing of regional products in the Kosovo
On behalf of the GIZ, B.A.U.M. Consult Munich/Berlin is conducting a coaching and training programme for regional marketing and the marketing of regional products in two regions of the Kosovo: Anamorava and Drini. read more
S3C – Empowering people for the smart energy system of the future
People make the difference in the transition to our future energy system. Together with an international consortium of six partners, B.A.U.M. developed a practical toolkit for the successful, long-term engagement of end users in smart grid projects. read more
SEMS – sustainable energy management
Within the framework of the EU CONCERTO Programme, the SEMS project started a local energy transformation in four communities in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Poland. B.A.U.M. had a leading role in developing the project’s concept integrating experience derived from implementing citizen energy concepts. read more
SESAM - fully electrical agricultural machines in rural Smart Grids
In cooperation with John Deere and the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern B.A.U.M. was responsible for the impact assessment of the usage of a battery-powered tractor in agriculture and for the dissemination of the project’s results. The SESAM project was part of the funding programme “ICT for Electric mobility II” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. read more
