Master plan electric mobility for the city of Mönchengladbach
Expansion of electromobility to reduce nitrogen oxide pollution
Together with the project consortium consisting of Ecolibro GmbH, EMCEL GmbH, Siemens AG, Mobility Intelligent Traffic Systems, Planungsbüro Richter-Richard and IVU Umwelt GmbH, B.A.U.M. Consult has developed an electric mobility concept for the city of Mönchengladbach.
Description
With the electromobility master plan, the city of Mönchengladbach is striving to significantly reduce nitrogen oxide pollution in the city area and thus prevent limit values from being exceeded in the future. B.A.U.M. has been involved in the project, particularly in the evaluation of the reduction effects of measures. The projects, which are to lead to an improvement in air quality in the heavily polluted urban areas of Mönchengladbach, deal with the topics of networked mobility, traffic management, charging infrastructure, electric public transport, urban logistics and electrification in bicycle traffic.
