ALPGRIDS: Increasing Renewable Energy Sources (RES) uptake through Microgrids in the Alps

In the European Union funded project ALPGRIDS a consortium of 12 partners, among them B.A.U.M. Consult, develop an Alpine microgrid model to foster low-carbon energy communities. The transnational approach aims to create an enabling institutional, socio-cultural and economic environment to successfully take off microgrids in the Alpine Space and beyond. read more

e-MOTICON – Electric vehicle charging infrastructure for the Alpine Space

From Munich to Padua by electric vehicle – in the EU funded project e-MOTICON, 15 partners from the Alpine Space are working on a transnational strategy for a consistent and interoperable development of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. read more

ESINERGY: An Interreg Danube Project

ESINERGY addresses a crucial challenge in modern energy systems: managing the imbalance between power generation and load, crucial for rising electrification and renewable energy production. The project introduces pilot approaches to reduce peak loads in electrical networks, promoting self-consumption by producers (e.g., via heat pumps, energy storage, charging stations, energy communities) to balance generation and demand. Subsequently, it enhances policy planning for peak loads through a transnational strategy, facilitating replication in other regions. read more

Alpine Energy Meetings on Advanced Technology

Coordinated by B.A.U.M., the consortium of the EU funding project AlpEnMat developed the standardised event format JAM BITE. At the same time, JAM BITE serves as a networking platform, which connects SMEs offering innovative and sustainable technologies and services for the Alpine Space with investors and clients. read more

PolyEnergyNet: Resilient poly-networks for security of supply for the grids in Saarlouis

In the research project PolyEnergyNet B.A.U.M. and nine other scientific and industrial partners develop a model for decentralised control intelligence of energy networks. The project receives funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy within the framework of the research initiative “Future-proof Power Grids”. read more

2ndVegOil – Decentrally produced vegetable oil fuels for modern agricultural machinery

Tractors with emission level 3A can easily operate in a climate-friendly manner with decentrally produced and purified vegetable oil. A wide range of different oils can be used as fuel. The principle feasibility of emission levels 3B and 4 has been proven. read more
