B.A.U.M. Consult has supported numerous companies of various industries and sizes with the introduction of an environmental management system in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 14001 standard. As part of our ISO 14001 environmental management consulting, clients were systematically accompanied through the entire introduction process – from the initial assessment to implementation and successful certification. The aim was to measurably improve environmental performance, reliably meet legal requirements and establish sustainable corporate structures.

At the beginning of the collaboration, B.A.U.M. Consult worked with the companies to carry out an in-depth inventory. This served to record existing environmental management structures, relevant processes and environmental aspects. Based on this, a precise gap analysis was carried out in which existing processes were compared with the requirements of ISO 14001. This enabled optimization potential, fields of action and specific measures to be clearly identified.

In the next step, we supported our customers in defining and implementing the processes and responsibilities required for ISO 14001 certification. This included the creation of an environmental management manual with procedural instructions, the identification and evaluation of key environmental aspects and the development of environmental objectives and programs. The establishment of a structured document management system and the implementation of a legal register to ensure legal compliance were also among the key services provided as part of our ISO 14001 environmental management consultancy.

A particular focus was placed on integrating the environmental management system into existing management systems, such as quality or energy management. B.A.U.M. Consult attached great importance to the use of synergies in order to use resources efficiently and avoid redundant structures.

In addition, employees were involved in environmental management through targeted training and awareness-raising measures. This strengthened environmental awareness and promoted broad acceptance within the company. In addition, we supported the development of internal and external communication structures in order to transparently pass on information on environmentally relevant topics.

Before the project was completed, B.A.U.M. Consult planned and supervised internal audits to check the effectiveness of the system. Based on the results, improvement measures were developed and implemented before the certification process was finally initiated by an independent accredited body.
