B.A.U.M. with workshop at the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)

29 June 2022, Berlin: The workshop on 27.09.2022 is organized on behalf of the transnational research program Joint Programming Platform ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems (JPP SES). It includes a panel discussion with experts from 5 different countries and more.

Together with the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENERGY) of the European Commission, the environmental agency Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energy and the Lithuanian Energy Distributors Organization (ESO), B.A.U.M. is organizing a policy session on the digitalization of local and regional energy systems.

The workshop will take place on the second day of EUSEW, September 27 from 4:30 to 6pm and has three objectives:

• To discuss expectations for an EU program platform to support digital innovation;
• To find out and better understand the needs and challenges of local/regional institutions when it comes to supporting the adoption of digital solutions in the energy system;
• To strengthen collaboration between different funding and innovation programs such as Horizon Europe, Interreg, CET (Clean Energy Transitions Programme, support program for governments of the International Energy Agency) and ETIP SNET (European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for Energy Transition) as key catalysts for the European Commission's Fit for 55 package.

The EU Sustainable Energy Week is the largest event on renewable energy and efficient energy use in Europe and is organized by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENERGY) and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

This year, EUSEW will take place in a hybrid format, online and on-site in Brussels, from September 26-30, 2022, under the theme "Going green and digital for Europe's energy transition."
